PHILOSOPHY

I teach public, private + corporate yoga around Toronto, Ontario and online. I specialize in yin, restorative + vinyasa classes. Classes are designed carefully- intended to be challenging yet supportive, grounding yet uplifting. Practices always  include aspects of mindfulness + integrate breath work. I carefully curate playlists to help us set the tone of the class, the music moves with us as we flow through our practice. 

Just as no two faces are the same, no two bodies are the same. Not every pose works for every body + it's important to honour that. I believe in using the pose to get into the body, rather than using the body to get into the pose.

Moving beyond our thoughts of how we should feel, act or look in class + learning to listen + respond to ourselves with compassion, as we are, in this moment.

 

Since completing my 300 hour yoga teacher training in 2017, I have continued to expand my teaching practice, completing many more trainings including yin yoga, anatomy, accessible yoga, thai yoga massage + reiki levels 1 + 2.

I also share this practice outside of yoga studios, teaching in Toronto schools + to adults with intellectual disabilities. 

I teach because this practice has helped me a lot and I believe it's my responsibility to share this with others. I am grateful everyday that my job is to share this wonderful practice.
